What it all means
This is a monster weekend for US 3×3 basketball and our push to qualify for the Olympics. 16 of the top 25 American players on the circuit will be in action in the Lausanne Masters and the Quebec Challenger. The rankings of the top 25 American players determine the Federation ranking, which ultimately determines Olympics qualification.
This will be the first time we’re playing in the same tournament as Miami, meaning there’s a possibility we’ll play against our former teammates, Kareem Maddox and Canyon Barry.
Performance in Masters events determines the World Tour standings, with the top-12 teams qualifying for the World Tour Final. Our goal is to reach this year’s final in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on December 8th and 9th. A strong performance in Lausanne would help us move up the rankings, and qualifying for a couple more Masters events would help our chances to finish in the top-12.
Upcoming Princeton schedule
September 1-2: Pont du Gard (France) Challenger
September 9-10: Constanta (Romania) Masters
